Dig. Eat. Undercut. You grow by eating, and growing makes you a wall — the tunnels you carve are the only map anyone down there gets.
There is no shooting and no dodging. You kill by making the other one run into something solid: your own body, or rock nobody has dug yet. Boost doubles your speed and spends the length you ate for, so speed is never free.

A merge-and-consolidate arena. Two blocks of equal rank fuse into one of double the rank, so your tail gets shorter at the moment it gets more valuable.
Your body is always distinct powers of two, which means it is a binary number and eating is incrementing it. One pickup can collapse a long tail into a single high block in one visible chain. Eat anything below you; anything above you eats you; two equal ranks bounce.
